University of Limerick (UL) Accommodation

Students are spoiled for choice when it comes to on-campus accommodation, with five separate student villages on campus. All first year students are guaranteed a place on campus. There is lots of on campus accommodation, which is divided into five separate little villages. Kilmurry and Plassey villages are probably the most popular for 1st years, teeming with parties and are near the college buildings. Most apartments are randomly assigned and mixed-gender, making it easy to make friends outside of your course.

The other three villages on campus consist of Cappavilla, Thomond and Dromroe. All of the student houses are self-catering and include cable television, high speed internet and 24 hour security and all are located on the main campus.

• Plassey Village is located at the main entrance of UL. Popular with 1st years, the houses can hold up to 8 people in each. Houses consist of shared living room and kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and private bedrooms. Prices range from €3380-3900, depending on house size and includes all bills.

• Kilmurry is always popular with 1st years, is located right next to the Sports Centre. Similar in facilities and price to Plassey.

• Dromroe and Cappavilla are the most modern and comfortable of the campus residences, overlooking the River Shannon. The beautiful views and comfortable surroundings come at a price, however, with annual charges ranging from €4420-4940, inclusive of bills.

• Thomond is similar in style and price to the modern Dromroe and Cappavilla. Thomond is located across the river on the north side of the campus. Reports suggest that it’s a bit isolated from the rest of the campus and isn’t the best craic.
