Why did you choose your course?

I wanted t do something creative and I have always enyoyed art. Also the 1st year in my college was a core year so it allowed to try everything before I decided.

Are you happy with your choice of course?

On reflection, what made it the right or wrong choice for you?

Maybe I should have chosen something with a better job market and also my course doesn't have as much information in it than I would have liked.Overall maybe it was the wrong choice.

How many hours of organised classes do you have per week? (labs, tutorials, lectures, etc)

Are your lectures/labs mainly based on or off the main campus?

If off campus, does this affect you and how?

You get less information about societies and social events, also you have to go to the main campus for most forms, grants and all doctor visits.

Is your course weighted more on

Continuous assessment

Is there an option to study abroad on your course?

I don't know

If you studied abroad, is there any advice you would give someone looking to study abroad?

I didn't study abroad.

What are your favourite aspects of your course?

The hands on learning is great,it allows you to really experience what it is you're doing and to memorise it better than being stuck in a classroom.

What are your least favourite aspects of your course?

The waiting for something to happen.I feel like there's a lot of waiting around in art college and it's very much that you have to go learn things by yourself, which gets a bit boring after a while.

Was your course what you expected?

What do you wish you had known before choosing this course?

I wish I had known about the waiting around also about how hard the art industry is to break into.

my college has an excellent library, there is a wide variety of books and the layout is amazing,a spiral staircase going up 5 floors with cosy desks with lights to study by.Also there are computers and newspapers.

Is there a good social life on your course?

Please describe

Art people are more social as its a creative course and ideas have to be exchanged or discussed on it.Also as my course is in Galway lots of people are away from home to study there,so everyone needs college people for a social life outside the college.
