26-30hrs

Are your lectures/labs mainly based on or off the main campus?

On

Is your course weighted more on continuous assessment or end of year exams?

Continuous assessment

Is there an option to study abroad on your course?

Yes

What are your favourite aspects of your course?

Our labs are based mainly on taking part in different areas of sport. Not only is this fun, it also gives you a hands-on idea what is enjoyable or boring for your future students to enable you to plan the most exciting and engaging lesson plans.

What are your least favourite aspects of your course?

Some lecturers are slightly boring. I feel that some could make the module more appealing.

Was your course what you expected?

No

What do you wish you had known before choosing this course?

I wish that I knew that the course was going to be as engaging, if I did, I would have looked forward to it a lot more.

Every time I want to get a book out it is easily found and available for rent.

Some of the pitches are in very poor condition. They get extremely water logged on the Winter.

What would be helpful to know before joining your sports club?

You do not have to be brilliant at a sport. Go in with an open mind and make as many friends as possible.

Would you recommend getting involved in college sport?

I would get involved in a sport in which I have never played like trampoling or water polo. I think this would have given me an excellent opportunity to broaden my view in different sports.

How much do you spend on living every week (going out, food, transport etc.), excluding rent and bills?

40-60

Do you or have you lived away from home during college?

Yes

How much does your rent cost per month?

250-350

As a first year did you live in college halls?

No

Would you recommend living in College Halls?

Yes

Would you recommend living in College Halls Why?

It is easier to make friends who are the same age as you as the majority of students living in campus villages are starting out in college as well.

If yes, where and why?

Do not rent a private house with people you don't know. The chances are that you will be living with older students who already have their friends made and this may inhibit your ability to meet new students sililiar to you.

How would you recommend this college to a friend?

The networks of friends you make. Everyone is interlinked somehow and it is all one big community. Also, living so close to one another means that there is never a dull moment.

What advice would you give to somebody coming to ULknowing nobody?

Be who you want to be; if no one knows you, they won't know any different. This is an opportunity to start fresh. Join a club or soceity to make friends with similiar interests to you.
