Why did you choose your course?

Classics was one of my best subjects in school, and I've always been interested in the ancient world.

Are you happy with your choice of course?

Indifferent

On reflection, what made it the right or wrong choice for you?

It is interesting, but it doesn't give me a direction for my life after college.

How many hours of organised classes do you have per week? (labs, tutorials, lectures, etc)

11-15hrs

Are your lectures/labs mainly based on or off the main campus?

On

Is your course weighted more on

End of year exams

Is there an option to study abroad on your course?

Yes

What are your favourite aspects of your course?

I like the social and political history that we do in conjunction with the more literary aspects of the course.

What are your least favourite aspects of your course?

We have very limited opportunities to interact with lecturers and no tutorials.

Was your course what you expected?

No

What do you wish you had known before choosing this course?

I wish I had known what the modules I would be studying.

Why?

Limited opening hours at the weekend, too many restrictions on borrowing for undergraduates, takes a long time for books to emerge from Stacks.

Why do you enjoy being a member of this society? why should a prospective student think of joining this society?

I enjoy competitive debating, learning new skills, having my views challenged and expanded, and learning to think and express myself more precisely.

Are you a member of any sports clubs?

No

How much do you spend on living every week (going out, food, transport etc.), excluding rent and bills?

€60-80
