Why did you choose to study in this college?

the college is far away from home and awkward to get to.. the course just happened to suit.

Are you happy with your choice of course?

On reflection, what made it the right or wrong choice for you?

the course emcompasses many aspects of work knowledge that will be needed in the real world, regardless of if i get work in the line of business or not. i repeated my leaving and so had plenty of time to think about what i wanted to do in college. the course seemed diverse and interesting and i'm happy to say it has lived up to my expectations.

How many hours of organised classes do you have per week?

Are your lectures/labs mainly based on or off the main campus?

Is your course weighted more on continuous assessment or end of year exams?

End of year exams

Is there an option to study abroad on your course?

I don't know

What are your favourite aspects of your course?

it's choice when it came to 3rd yr. after doing general business for 3 yrs we had the choice to stream three ways. this is great because we got to try all steams throughout the 3 yrs to see what we liked best before commiting in 4th yr.

What are your least favourite aspects of your course?

a particular lecturer who keeps changing his mind on what he expects in his exam answers. nothing is ever right for him, even when in strict agreement with the class notes he issued. our exam timetable is a bit of a balls this yr.. that's about it!

Was your course what you expected?

What do you wish you had known before choosing this course?

wish i had known about that lecturer!!!!!

there are only one or two copies of the course work reading material there. i did a project before christmas and the most up to date book i could find on my topic was a 1970 issued book

Are you an active member of any societies?

Are you a member of any sports clubs?

How much do you spend on living every week (going out, food, transport etc.), excluding rent and bills?

Do you or have you lived away from home during college?

As a first year did you live in college halls?

If yes, where and why?

In Sligo I would recommend either the Clarion Village or Ard Nua. They are very well presented, warm, clean and similar to other complexes in the area but better. They are in close proximity to the college too.

If yes, where and why?

Rathbraughan Park, Yeats Heights and the Cartron area. I have lived in Cartron and Yeats, both very damp, cold, unappealing houses, and not as close to the college as the previous mentioned areas. Rathbraughan is also the same.

How would you recommend this college to a friend?

The lecturers are all very approachable, and because I commute it is within a short driving distance for me.
