Why did you choose to study in this college?

I have always been interested in working with people. Especially those most vulnerable within the community.

Are you happy with your choice of course?

On reflection, what made it the right or wrong choice for you?

I have really enjoyed my course so far. I have just completed 3 moths of a work placement in the homeless sector and I now know that this is the right career path for me.

How many hours of organised classes do you have per week?

Are your lectures/labs mainly based on or off the main campus?

Is your course weighted more on continuous assessment or end of year exams?

Continuous assessment

Is there an option to study abroad on your course?

If you studied abroad, is there any advice you would give someone looking to study abroad?

I have not studies abroad as of yet.

What are your favourite aspects of your course?

My favourite aspect of my course would be that we get to carry out a long work placement in a social care setting of our choice. I also enjoy many of the modules such as psychology and sociology.

What are your least favourite aspects of your course?

One of my least favourite modules is Law. I find it kind of boring at times.

Was your course what you expected?

What do you wish you had known before choosing this course?

Nothing. I knew that this was what I wanted to do. Although I don't think I was fully prepared for how much written work was involved.

We recently had our library renovated and extended. It is much bigger and more comfortable now.

Are you a member of any sports clubs?

How much do you spend on living every week (going out, food, transport etc.), excluding rent and bills?

Do you or have you lived away from home during college?

How much does your rent cost per month?

As a first year did you live in college halls?

If yes, where and why?

The Cartron area is quite cheap if you are sharing.

How would you recommend this college to a friend?

I like how it provides a bit of fun in the canteen every so often to get a break from college work.
