Why did you choose your course?

I choose social care as I wanted to work in a helping perfession and nursing did not appeal to me at all!

Are you happy with your choice of course?

How many hours of organised classes do you have per week? (labs, tutorials, lectures, etc)

Are your lectures/labs mainly based on or off the main campus?

If off campus, does this affect you and how?

Is your course weighted more on

Continuous assessment

Is there an option to study abroad on your course?

If you studied abroad, is there any advice you would give someone looking to study abroad?

What are your favourite aspects of your course?

In year 2 and 3 we do work placement for the second semester which is a brilliant way to gain an insight into different areas of social care and I feel after placement when you do return to college the year after your more focased and can relate theory and new subjects to placement.

What are your least favourite aspects of your course?

When getting almost any job in social care you need a vacinee and certain training courses such as childrens first and tci and first aid all of which aren't supplied in the course and you must pay for yourself. I feel the college should have told us this so we could have organised these ourselfs etc.

Was your course what you expected?

What do you wish you had known before choosing this course?

More details on some of the subjects and more details on jobs you can have afterwards etc.

There is a social floor a comoputer and books floor and a quiet learning floor to suit ever one and group meeting sound proof rooms.

Is there a good social life on your course?
