Why did you choose to study this course?

I wanted to design the environment.

Are you happy with your choice of course?

Yes

On reflection, what made it the right or wrong choice for you?

The whole program suits me down to the ground, coming up with ridiculous designs for things which will never be built and having the absolute craic with the class in our Richview hideaway.

How many hours of organised classes do you have per week?

11-15hrs

Are your lectures/labs mainly based on or off the main campus?

On

Is your course weighted more on continuous assessment or end of year exams?

Continuous assessment

Is there an option to study abroad on your course?

Yes

If you studied abroad, is there any advice you would give someone looking to study abroad?

Go for it!

What are your favourite aspects of your course?

1. Social life is HUGE. 2. Coming up with design concepts and making models of them. 3. Going abroad to visit cities. 4. Spending time with the class in the studio. 5. Flexible hours during the week. 6. The Richview campus in UCD is 10 times nicer than Belfield.

What are your least favourite aspects of your course?

Eh the studio hours can be long.

Was your course what you expected?

Yes

Why?

We have our own library for Architecure and it's recently renovated. Librarian is pretty sound too.

Is there a good social life on your course?

Yes

Please describe

After every project submission, huge class night out.The Arcsoc have nights out every 2 weeks. Someone in the class goes out every night anyway. Several trips abroad in the year, blurry enough.

Are you an active member of any societies?

Yes

If yes, please name the societies

Arcsoc(Architecture Society) and Kitesurfing

Why do you enjoy being a member of this society? why should a prospective student think of joining this society?

Sappy as it sounds you make such good friends with different kinds of people you wouldn't really come into contact with and everybody's just up for the laugh.

Are you a member of any sports clubs?

No

How much do you spend on living every week (going out, food, transport etc.), excluding rent and bills?

60-80

Do you or have you lived away from home during college?

No

How would you recommend this college to a friend?

Cause its UCD... no other reason needed!
