Why did you choose your course?

I wanted to study languages and to go away on erasmus. I got high points and everyone told me to pick something else but I stuck to what I have interest in and do not regret my choice of Arts - french and Irish in UCD.

Are you happy with your choice of course?

Yes

On reflection, what made it the right or wrong choice for you?

It is the right choice as I get to learn and develop my fluency in the languages. This UCD programme also offers electives so I got to take on Italian this semester also.

What are your favourite aspects of your course?

The literature- I love learning about French poetry. I am studying Irish journalism and every week we must write an opinion piece which I really enjoy! I love expressing myself without having to back it up with resources.

What are your least favourite aspects of your course?

The teaching of Irish- We have no language or grammar classses.

Was your course what you expected?

Yes

What do you wish you had known before choosing this course?

That the French literature essays are done through English. I don't know how we are expected to learn without being encouraged to write in French.

Yes
